Clouds darken the sky, leaves litter the sidewalk, and pumpkins peer out of every storefront. It's October, y'all! That means it's time for sweaters, comfy leggings, pumpkin-spiced everything, and also, some deals. It's not quite Halloween yet, but retailers are still treating this weekend like a holiday. At least, that's what the new Destiny 2 expansion feels like to us.
This is also the perfect time to stock up on baking goods (pumpkin cookies), horror games (pumpkin spookies), and a nice big TV to watch The Silence of the Lambs while haunted winds howl and sheets of rain break across your windows. Here are the best deals we've found so far. Boo!

Home & Kitchen Deals
Instant Pot Lux 60 V3 for $59 ($20 off): Is a deals post even a deals post without an Instant Pot? If you don't already have one, the Lux 60 is a good place to start. It's also available from Walmart.
Instant Pot Ultra 6 Quart for $105 ($45 off): If you're looking to step up your Instant Pot game, the more fully featured Instant Pot Ultra is worth a look. It's also a great place to test out recipes from one an Instant Pot cookbook.
KitchenAid Artisan 'Starry Night' Mixer for $200 ($300 off): I (Jess) often evangelize KitchenAid mixers to anyone who will listen, and this one is one heck of a deal. Not only do you get an heirloom-quality stand mixer that can be used for everything from baking cookies to rolling pasta, but this one comes in a sparkly black paint job.
Farberware 1.9-Quart Air Fryer for $30 ($14 off): Speaking of kitchen gadgets, an air fryer could be a perfect companion during these chilly Autumn nights. Nothing warms the heart like a basket of french fries.
Presto Cool Touch Electric Griddle for $33 ($13 off): It's October, but it's still kind of back-to-school season. If you've recently moved into a dorm only to realize that no, you do not in fact have a real kitchen, an electric griddle is a great way to keep yourself fed on something other than Hot Pockets. They're also great for making breakfasts if you have a tiny cooktop.
TV & Soundbar Deals
LG 65-inch 4K Smart TV for $750 ($450 off): Outside: Full dark, no stars. Inside: Cozy blanket and 65-inch TV. That's one of my (Jess) favorite ways to spend evenings in October, by scaring myself half to death while watching horror movies alone, on a 65-inch TV in my apartment.
Yamaha YAS-207BL Soundbar with Subwoofer for $229 ($70 off): Do you want another way to scare your own pants off? Hook your giant TV to a soundbar, put the subwoofer behind the couch, and listen to the creepy noises emanate from inside your house. The soundbar is also available from B&H Photo and Adorama.
Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 Wireless Headphones for $227 ($272 off): I (Jess) stumbled on this deal because I'm shopping for these myself. They're my favorite everyday wireless headphones. They're stylish; they produce rich, resonant sound; and at this price, they're a steal.
Laptop & Gaming Deals
Surface Pro 6 for $1,100 ($400 off): Microsoft just announced its latest slate of Surface products, and as usual, the previous models are seeing deep discounts. The Surface Pro 6 is a good jack-of-all-trades laptop/tablet combo, with a pen accurate and sensitive enough for professional graphic design work.
Banner Saga Trilogy for $17 on Switch for ($12 off): One of my favorite games of the last few years, the Banner Saga Trilogy tells a bleak tale of survival at the end of the world. It's beautifully rendered with hand-drawn animation, and top-notch voice acting. This Norse-inspired saga should not be missed. It's also available from Best Buy.
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age on Switch for $50 ($10 off): Just released on Switch, Dragon Quest XI is the latest entry in the storied RPG series, and it's a perfect fit for Nintendo's portable console. Be warned: It is very long, and very addictive.
Mortal Kombat 11 on Xbox One for $42 ($18 off): The latest entry in the Mortal Kombat series is also one of its most brutal. This fighting game will shower you with gore while it weaves its pro wrestling-level story, rife with drama and rivalries.
Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition for $20 ($10 off): If you really want to feel horror, this is the game for you. Turn off the lights. Put this game in. Play it with headphones or a soundbar, and good luck sleeping with one eye open. It's also available at Target.
Outdoor Deals
GoPro Hero 7 Camera for $327 ($73 off): GoPro recently unveiled its latest camera, the Hero 8, so retailers are clearing off the shelves to make room for the newer, more expensive model. But the Hero 7 is still a killer action cam, and it's tough to beat at this price. We did a full writeup on this GoPro deal.
DJI Mavic Quadcopter for $799 ($120 off): What better way to capture the dazzling colors of fall than with a drone soaring over a canopy of rich gold and red leaves? This portable quadcopter is easy to use even if you're not a drone expert. It's a great way to ease into drone photography.
