Hi, i found that in a book, but how can i get the numbers of solutions(g) and why 0 ≤ i < g?

i tried with i >g and it works, can you show me an example?

You can get solutions to the second problem from solutions to the first problem as described in your image. To get solutions to the first problem, you can use Euclid's algorithm.
